Mike’s Lone PEEK Summit!!

Years ago I remember walking into Bill's, my much older brother, office and seeing a poster with a rather odd looking fellow with buck teeth and some straw hanging out of his mouth. The caption under the picture read as follows “Yesterday I could not spell selsmun and today I are one”.

Our industry like the color of my hair continues to change and we are changing with it. It seems like only yesterday we were business forms salesmen. Eventually we were more appropriately called salespeople. We then morphed into business printing salespeople. and promotional product salespeople and before that as Advertising Specialty salespeople.

Today I want to share a new term with you MSP (Marketing Service Provider). Up until a few months ago I thought MSP was our local airport acronym. But much like what happened to NWA, theirs a new carrier in town!

Even though I’m not sure how long the term will last I can promise you that our ability to offer direct mail, email, mobile and social marketing campaign help is here to stay. We already have a significant list of professional suppliers at the ready. Like most all of our suppliers the only way you can avail of their services is thru working with us as they have no direct sales force.

Okay enough about sale’s stuff in my Lone Peek section. I’m interested in hearing about how your industry or job has recently changed. What kind of silly names are they using to describe your industry or position?
